OUR HISTORY

Landmark Church has such a rich history….

In 1960, a group meeting in the garage of George and Ethel Zimmerman officially incorporated as First Christian Church of La Puente. After purchasing property on Desire Avenue in Rowland Heights, we became First Christian Church of Rowland Heights. For many years, the church built a healthy culture centered on young people and global missions. Many came to know Jesus, and many were sent into vocational ministry.

In 1998, the church moved to Diamond Bar to provide more room for growth and reach a wider community from its strategic location. With the move, the church changed its name to Diamond Canyon Christian Church, also known as DC3.

In 2016, we added a location in Echo Park that now hosts a Khmer-language Cambodian gathering. This helped develop our ministry in Cambodia, the Christian Association for Education, led by Po and Molly Ouklore. The ministry serves children in 28 churches throughout Cambodia by providing teaching, resources, leadership training, and support to help the next generation follow Jesus. 

In 2017, Pastor James Price retired after faithfully serving our church for 37 years. Guy Fox and his wife, Kathy (two of those young people once sent out from our church into vocational ministry) were invited home, with Guy becoming our new lead pastor. They were excited to return to the church where they met, were baptized, and where they began serving the Lord.

In 2020, inspired by a vision to be a LANDMARK that helps people in Diamond Bar and around the world find their way home to God, we changed our name once again. On September 27, 2020, we became Landmark Christian Church. Today, we are a growing community of believers who LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE, and SERVE COMPASSIONATELY. We remain committed to reaching the next generation and supporting global missions. As we build upon our rich history and pursue God’s expanding vision for the future, we would love for you to be part of the next chapter of Landmark’s story.
